Brass Boiler Union Air Vent Valve
Brass Boiler Union Air Vent Valve is used in commercial and residential hydronic heating applications to provide automatic air venting for hot or cold water distribution systems. They consists of a brass body construction with male NPT connection, a brass cover, an air vent with silicone rubber seal, a polyethylene float with valve plug, and an automatic vent. They have a high temperature rating which makes them ideal for use with glycol systems or for use as an anti-vacuum device. They can also be installed to permit the separation and dispersal of air while fluid is circulating in the system.

Application
How does a radiator air vent work?
As the radiator fills with steam it pushes the air out through the open vent. This release of air pulls steam into the vent. The Radiator air valve is heat-sensitive, and ultimately the valve closes trapping the steam in the radiator to heat the radiator.
